La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield Airport Plaza

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We came to Springfield for a wrestling tournament and loved our stay and hope to be able to stay here again in the future. We are planning to come to Springfield for the USA Wrestling State tournament in March and would love to stay here again if they have a cancellation! Pros +Comfortable beds +Spacious rooms with ample drawer and hanging storage. +Full sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion - no little bottles or soap bars to mess with. +Quiet rooms (not silent, but better than many hotels). They have key features like the stairwell doors being slow-close to minimize noise. A great touch! +Wall thermostat for temperature control. An option for an "always-on" fan, which I appreciate. +Delicious breakfast (waffles, different eggs each day, sausage links/patties, biscuits (melt-in-your-mouth), gravy, as well as standard contenintal breakfast items). +Nice fitness area that is well-lit, multiple options, TVs, and a water bottle filler. +Helpful and kind staff at front desk. As an example, my daughters went down to the lobby with their tablets and the front desk helped them get logged onto the WiFi. All of our interactions with the front desk staff were positive. Cons (none of which were deal breakers) -Pool was a little cool. My oldest had no issues with it, but my youngest got cold quite quickly. -You have to get pool towels at the front desk (none in the pool area). -This might be a "pro" for families with young children, but the shower doesn't get very hot. It is definitely warm enough to have a comfortable shower and my husband and kids thought it was perfect. But as a middle-aged woman who likes hot hot showers, that wasn't possible. But I was definitely still warm enough. All in all, we loved this hotel and I imagine many future stays here as we travel to Springfield for wrestling tournaments.

I had the best stay at this property! The location was perfect for our cross country drive. This property is immaculate, very well maintained, and much nicer than hotels that cost a whole lot more. Every staff member I interacted with was so pleasant and helpful. Had a delicious dinner downtown at adorable Cafe Cusco, an independently owned Peruvian restaurant.

Me and my husband and baby are driving from new mexico to Maryland. We stopped on the way through, the rooms were clean, the bed was super comfortable, the breakfast was good. And most importantly the people were nice. Good experience

Nice, quiet and clean hotel near the highway. Desk staff very pleasant. I will make this a regular stop on trips between Chicago and Phoenix. They are big dog friendly and I never heard a bark. Nearby (walking distance) there’s a couple fast food options and a mini mart. I’m a senior traveling alone and felt safe here. Tucked into a residential area there’s a road along a condo complex that’s a good place to walk a dog away from high traffic.

Check in was super easy with the pre-arrival check in and the front desk was on top of everything. The room was good sized with plenty of seating. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows my big complaint is the fridge no freezer and really small. Also the dresser would not stay closed and it was already shimmed (see photo). Parking is an issue for guests with big vehicles and trailers so if you are moving they may not have space.

Our stay was wonderful! This hotel seemed so quiet throughout our entire stay which made our weekend away very restful. Clean rooms, friendly and efficient service and great location for all our favorite places in Springfield!

Great location, right off I-44 and easy on and off the highway. Rooms are nice and well kept. Service was excellent and I enjoyed the text service before check in and at checkout. Staff was very friendly. We travel with our dogs, it was nice to have a dog area on the property. Will definitely stay here again.

Very nice and clean hotel. All staff that I had interactions with were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very good with lots of options. My only complaint is how freezing cold the pool room is when you sit in there to watch the kids swim. Brrrr!
